Altar’d State Retail Location Showcases Our Stained Glass in New Store
Recently, we at Stained Glass Denver had the privilege of working on an amazing stained glass job for Altar’d State. It is our second project for them and the results are stunning. We worked closely with the faith-based clothing retailer to get this project completed to match their timeline. Since Altr’d State opens stores across the country each year, their deadlines are critical. This is why working with Stained Glass Denver, who has project managers in place on each job, was critical to the success of this project. The Scope of The Altr’d State Retail Stained Glass Project
For the Norwalk, CT store, Altr’d State needed 16 curved panels to create a 12-foot diameter circular ceiling feature. The challenge was to stay true to the design of the last Altr’d State installation while creating and executing the unique shape of the curved glass features.

With careful attention to our previous designs for the company and the unique shape of the existing structure, we built custom wooden forms for each panel. This involved a positive and negative form to be built so that we could work on both sides of the 18-panel installation. The most critical part of the job was designing each piece so that they wouldn’t crack during manufacturing or installation. And the tight deadline of two weeks to build the entire stained glass installation. However, true to form, we implemented our project management skills and utilized an impressive team of eight stained glass artisans, who worked day and night to get the job done! It all came together as the stunning 12-foot diameter circular stained glass ceiling feature pictured below.

While steeped in challenges, at the end of the day every panel fit perfectly into the retail space and the owners, of course, were delighted. The quality of this stained glass installation is unmistakable.
